I Don’t Hate It | Book Lovers’ Day
Hey there. I just heard that today is Book Lovers’ Day so I thought I’d send a quick missive (even though every day is Book Lovers’ Day around here). I’m traveling a lot and I’m coming off a week of hosting a writers’ conference, so this is going to be short.
1. I read Asymmetry by Lisa Halliday while on vacation. Without giving anything away, I’ll say that the book has three sections and the middle section is my favorite. I wanted an entire book of that storyline.
2. Andrew Sean Greer won the Pulitzer for Less this year. I had never read him, so I started there. (Less is the last name of the protagonist.) It’s comedic. Not LOL funny, but sharply written, pointedly funny.
3. Have you seen Kim’s Convenience, on Netflix? Give it a shot.
